Artist/printmaker, consultant in original art printing and founder of A14
Starting in the 1990s, after graduating in painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Daniela Lorenzi embarked on a series of professional collaborations involving the interaction of multiple disciplines. These experiences would later form the basis for the creation of
Atelier 14.
Who is Daniela Lorenzi?
Good question! Even after thirty years, I would still answer: I am a researcher. A curious person who, along the way, has encountered the ‘Other’ thanks to the help of certain tools, finding a way – through the act of making – to connect with things, with people and with the world. I have always regarded the studio as my main ‘relational project’; the rest of my artistic output consists of in-depth research and visual notes that, in some way, always form part of the same whole.
A14 is the result of thirty years of experience and the name under which she now signs her collaborations, but it is also a physical place, a host, a facilitator of exchange, a container of people and an archive of journeys.
Daniela Lorenzi approach sees the printer as a figure who supports artists, designers, graphic designers and illustrators throughout all stages of the creative process and is based on constant research and interdisciplinary study.
Teaching and educational activities have accompanied her throughout her career. Since 2022, Daniela has been teaching Engraving Techniques at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.
