Spazio Choisi 01 hosts an exhibition in which photography and music intertwine.
On the occasion of this event the first editions produced by A14 were shown: an edition inspired by the fascination of optical instruments at the dawn of cinema, and a series of subjects printed digitally on Indigo, presented in two versions: as posters, laid flat and accompanied by a download code for the music, and folded as origami to serve as a case for the music CD.
The photographs of Ulysses follow the traces of an imaginary and enigmatic journey, rich in parallels with Joyce's work and Homer's Odyssey, and depict some of the places still possessed by the presence of the Irish writer, Trieste in particular.
The music of Ulysses pays homage both to the musical sensibility of Joyce's language and to the author's fascination with the element of water. A string quartet, a piano and the voice of James Joyce seem to evoke an interior monologue that dissolves into the electric clouds of the guitars, as if sketching the stream of consciousness of the heroes of Joyce and Homer.
