Alessandra Angelini Aureole di altre stelle, 2012

A group of three compositions written by the poet Gilberto Isella find their perfect place on the pages worked by Alessandra Angelini with a hybrid artistic language: reworked digital photographs, images made with digital software, prints with blind woodcut interventions.

Through the immateriality of the digital image combined with the concreteness of the relief of the prints, Alessandra Angelini translates the poetic verses about the universe, infinite spaces and stellar worlds.

The book closes with a text by the astrophysicist Stefano Sandrelli, who aptly sums up the work carried out in synergy by Alessandra Angelini and Gilberto Isella, commenting: “Two artists who represent the last day of the Universal Exhibition. That is, the universe at the margins of its exhibition, at the boundaries of its space-time, frayed into strings that whip it, beaten by a wind - perhaps the accelerated expansion - that unsettles seas and skies”.
