Within the walls of the Domus Civica student residence in Venice,
D3082 – Woman Art Venice is born: a new research space and artistic incubator that will host exhibitions, events and artist residencies dedicated to multidisciplinary female creativity.
D3082 opens with a first group exhibition: My Life. Margaux Bricler | Andrea Hess | Valeria Manzi, curated by
Andrea B. Del Guercio: three voices of European resonance recount their life experience, intertwined with their professional one. A narrative that anticipates the aims of the project and the contents of the residency - support for the work of emerging women artists - set up in an unconventional exhibition space: the exhibition becomes part of the fabric of the city and of everyday routes, making use of the large windows of the twentieth-century building; an "urban pavilion" in direct dialogue with the city.
The project is in harmony and continuity with the dimension of international encounter between artists, in the full spirit of the Biennale, but also with the specific experience of a setting, that of the student residence, lived in by the new generations of university students, which from 2020 will also host an artist in residence.
