A journey that begins and ends in the same place, Camogli, where Julia exhibits at
P46 Gallery. The series A day at the sea is the result of a studio residency by the artist/illustrator
Julia Binfield. It consists of twenty-seven monotypes of the same subject. A slow, meditative and seemingly repetitive process. A visual reflection in which the protagonist is light, understood as vibration and colour in relation to space and time. A single fixed image that makes us sensitive spectators, always before the same landscape, which changes like the concentrated light over the course of a whole day until it darkens almost completely.
