Limited edition. Galleria Marilia Razuk. Pinacoteca do Estado, São Paulo, Brazil.
Híbrido is a series of woodcuts presented as diptychs and triptychs set in special wooden cases. The works do not indicate their respective authorship.
In each triptych, two incised images are printed and placed at the ends, separated and joined by a monochrome sheet of identical format; a space printed only in red or flesh colour, the same as the line that tears the black surface of the paper, forming flowers, plants, atomic structures and organic shapes.
A work of joint construction, whose aim is to show an in-between place, a space of fusion and of access to otherness. An experience of contamination which, through the process and the choice of subject, gives each the possibility of entering the other's poetic universe.
Daniela Lorenzi personally oversaw the printing of the edition, working in Cristina Rogozinski's studio on the artist's press and in collaboration with the two artists.
