Residency. Production and printing of large formats.

Since 2018 Gianluca Arienti has been collaborating with A14, cyclically spending periods of residency in the studio, during which he produces multiples and large formats.
Experiments in which, starting from one or a few initial images, the artist observes the printed results, letting the work take shape step by step. Gesture, layering, repetition and movement.
A movement that makes the final image fluid and kinetic, bringing the gesture back to a single whole made of frames and sequences, just as in cinematographic film.
A research that extends to other media and whose ultimate aim is interaction with the space with which it enters into relation.
A series recalling the frames of a film reel, images that come to life through movement, creating cinematic landscapes and atmospheres; distant lands, desert or urban, breaking apart and recomposing, monochrome, aerial perspectives, at times kaleidoscopic repetitions.
Deserto rosso - Dead ringers - Nera è la notte - À bout de souffle - Kalendoscope A & B - Round Midnight side A & B - Camera Roll - Nouvelle Vague.

These are single shots printed digitally as Giclée: alien presences, signs of other worlds, black and white patterns, constant and varying speeds, multiple directions, meteor showers, Fontana's cuts. The sun's rays, filtered, become moonlike glows, artificial lights, apparitions, calls, luminescences, milky glimmers, presences and absences in constant evolution.
A series of images which, combined with analogue shots, videos and original prints, is conceived to enter the space as an installation.
